Home Needed For...

Zeus

Zeus

Zeus is a large 15 pound male cat. He is now neutered and Revolution medicated (no fleas) and up to date on all his shots. He is a really handsome yellow and white cat with a beautiful round face.
I rescued him in October. The vet estimated his age at 2-3 years old.
He is a very sweet, friendly cat who had been visiting my front porch since early summer.
He has made no move to use his claws or be aggressive to me or my dogs – in fact I had to check to make sure he still had them.

I would like to find a great permanent loving INSIDE ONLY home for this wonderful cat. I already take care of 6 cats and 2 dogs, and all except one are all rescued animals. My three inside cats have to live in our basement (there are windows) since my son is highly allergic to cats, so that is why I need to find this terrific cat (temporarily named Zeus) a new home. And Zeus is such a nice cat that he deserves a home where he can enjoy loving attention and give love back too.

After seeing him off and on during the summer, I finally took Zeus inside the beginning of October.
We had him neutered and had all his shots. Plus he had a puncture wound on his head that was infected and pussy, so we got that cleaned up and he was given an antibiotic. He was also scabby all over from being allergic to flea bites. I have treated this with Revolution which the vet said should be continued each month.
Right now, he is living in my utility room until I can find a new forever home for him and has been a great cat. He has been quite vocal at times and wants petting and attention. I was shocked when my friendly cocker spaniel went in with him (she is so good with any animal I rescue) and Zeus showed absolutely no reaction except for rubbing up against her. So, he must be used to dogs and shows no fear of dogs, which might explain the puncture wound he had on his head.

I guess it is possible that he had a home in the area, but maybe more likely that he was dumped or got lost. I did check locally. If he had a home though, given his condition and infected wounds, they sure were not taking good care of him.

So, if you can give Zeus a new loving INSIDE ONLY home, he would be a terrific pet. Since he has not ever tried to claw me and wasn’t bothered by our two cocker spaniels, never trying to claw them, he would most likely be fine in a home with any dog that likes or tolerates cats. I think he would be good with kids too. I would prefer an inside only home for Zeus for his protection since cats who are allowed outside are so much more likely to get lost, get hit by a car or eaten by a predator.

Please email me for photos or Zeus or if you can help by giving Zeus a new loving INSIDE ONLY home.

Thank you for your consideration.
